Welcome to week eighteen of a 52-week account of my experience over the year with OddsJam.

Recap
Another very solid week. Five out of the seven days were in the green for the second week in a row! I didn’t set any records for an individual day. However, I did have four out of seven days with a profit of over $100, which is new and certainly helps the bankroll. The first half of December is looking similar to the first half of November (OddsJam Betting Results for November 2023) in terms of profit. The trick now will be to avoid the pullback that I had in late November and see if I can crack the $1000 profit in a month.
Another slow week in terms of getting bets in, so it feels like my profits this week have a lot of positive variance. I’ll take it, but I’d be much happier to get in more bets even if the overall profits were the same so I wasn’t worried about variance pulling me back. The main hustle needed the attention this week again. Throw in a sick child, and putting in the time for sports betting gets pushed a bit. (No complaints here, just reflecting on reality. I do love my job and my family will always come first.)
I’m still looking for patterns in the arb feed. I do think that I’ll be able to start placing more arbs (and have a crack at middles) by adding a few specific books. It still might be that the timing isn’t right for when the arbs are available. We’ll call it a work in progress.
Player rebounds really hurt this week. However, that was more than offset by player assists. Overall, player assists are one of my most profitable bets of all time. In comparison, every other market just fades into the background – some positive, some negative, but nothing significant.
I’ve narrowed down a few options for new books to sign up with. TIP: always read the fine print on the terms and conditions for sign-up bonuses. Check to see if your country is eligible. Check the rollover requirement (Low-Holds bets can help you clear that). Check to see how the bonus is released. And always check the timeframe to get it all cleared.
I had a negative week with NFL. This would normally be very unusual, but I just haven’t had that many +EV bets available to place. Soccer and NHL were slightly profitable. The star for the week was basketball (both NBA and NCAA) where I crushed it!
This week looked a bit more normal again with a lot more higher edges. It was definitely a good sign as it means more opportunities for +EV bets with a high expected profit.

Highlights
My biggest edge for the week was 17.5% on the Mavericks-Grizzlies game. I was looking for Roddy to have more than 9.5 points. I missed that one. I did manage to hit on Rozier under 7.5 assists in the Hornets-Heat game with a tidy edge of 14.7%.
The biggest longshot for the week was Durant hitting more than 2.5 threes in the Knicks-Suns game at 2.6 odds (+160 American) with a 2.6% edge. The biggest miss for this week came in the Grizzlies-Rockets game when Sengun had under 4.5 assists with 1.75 odds (-133 American). It was a thin edge at 1.4%, but they all add up.
Results
A fantastic week! A tidy profit for the week of $397. Not the best week ever, but very close. I also managed to beat my crazy returns from last week with an average profit/wager of over 13%. With +EV betting, that simply isn’t sustainable. It really is crazy high.
A slight dropoff in bets for the week again with only 105 bets placed. Again, this is lower than I’d like, but I know why (see above) and I can’t change that this week. I’ll see how this goes over the next little while. It could be that 200 is a lofty, but achievable, target. Maybe I should consider a rolling average. Or perhaps 100+ per week is sufficient.
The Numbers
I beat the CLV 80% of the time this week. This is very high again. With the positive variance I’ve had, I’m not surprised by this number. I won 55% of the bets placed, and this is in line with expectations as I was putting in a lot of bets that were slight favorites, and some that were heavy favorites.
The 13+% profit/wager, as mentioned, isn’t sustainable and I expect it to drop next week. My turnover increased again this week to just over $3000. That is expected as I’ve been adjusting my bankroll each week, so as the bankroll increases, so too will the rollover. I may find some limits here as I’ve had a few bets top out so I couldn’t wager as much as I would have liked. However, that is not having a significant impact as I’m still betting mostly under those limits – it will only have an impact as my bankroll increases.
Overall, a fantastic/lucky week!
