Welcome to week 37 of a 52-week account of my experience over the year using OddsJam.
You can read about last week here: OddsJam Bettings Results for Week 36 of 52.
Recap
This might be starting to sound like a broken record, but Week 37 was another profitable week +EV betting (value betting) with OddsJam.
Consistent, long-term profits using a ton of data to find inefficient lines in the sports betting market is one of the areas OddsJam excels and I’ve now got 37 weeks of data.
Through thousands of bets and tens of thousands in turnover, my numbers are consistent: I’m beating the closing line value (CLV) 80% of the time and earning a profit/wager of over 4%.
Week 37 was another solid week with five out of seven days in the green. With another week down, April is now even closer to being the ninth straight month of profit +EV betting with OddsJam!
MLB is in full swing with a ton of games to bet on every day! The NBA and NHL playoffs are underway!

Highlights
I managed to hit the biggest edge I found this week for the first time in a while. It wasn’t the biggest edge I’ve ever found, but at over 16%, I’ll certainly take it. This 16% edge was on James Harden to have over 34.5 Points+Rebounds+Assists in the Mavericks-Clippers game. I put this bet in at +135 odds (2.35 decimal) and it closed at +127 (2.37).
The biggest long shot for the week was Jaime Jaquez Jr. to hit at least 2 three-pointers in the Heat-Celtics game. I put this bet in at +175 odds (2.75 decimal) and it closed at +166 (2.66). When I placed the bet, it had an edge of over 5%.
The biggest miss for the week came on a random tennis match that popped up (I bet on anything in the OddsJam +EV feed with the recommended filters on). The bet was on the Sherif-Kostyuk match to have over 8.5 games in the first set at -163 odds and it closed at -173 odds. It was a 3% edge, but you can’t win them all.
Results
(Just a reminder that I’m in New Zealand, so everything is a day ahead.)
I finished the week up $109. It wasn’t a full green week, but five out of seven in the green is a solid result.
The Numbers
For another winning week, the numbers were very good and I would almost have expected more profit.
I closed out the week with a 56% win rate, which was higher than expected. Those extra wins must have been on smaller edges or profit would have been higher.
I placed 72 bets for the week, much more in line with expectations compared to last week. Crazy to see more than double the bets compared to last week, but slightly less profit.
The profit margin for the week was a tidy 5.5% with a turnover of just under $2k. I crushed the closing line value again at 89%, much higher than my long-run average of 80%.
My Thoughts
It was another solid week with a positive result. OddsJam continues to update and improve their product and I’m never get tired of finding more +EV bets in the feed. I’ve had to odd slow week, but the consistency of the long-term returns continues to impress me.
The growth of my bankroll has been a bit slower at times than I would have liked. However, that is not a reflection of OddsJam at all. It is a direct result of being limited by a few books where I place a lot of bets. I’ve started to find more books to add to the mix and it is having a noticeable effect on my bankroll growth. This would not be a problem if you are in the US in a state that allows FD, DK, MGM, etc. as they just have so many more bets to make.
With less than a week to go in April, a ninth straight profitable month is almost done. When I started this journey back in August I really was expecting some months that ended in a loss. Getting to eight and now almost nine straight months without a loss using OddsJam really does show profitable sports betting is a solid side hustle.
